Before I put the turkey and the ham in the oven, I need to get this off of my chest. After posting my Christmas Decorations Purge I realized that many things that can be purged are theme-based. I started a list then I decided to make it a blog post. These are my goals by the end of the year that I am ready to let go:
The aforementioned unused Christmas decorations
Storage containers (stained, widowed/orphaned containers & lids).
Old and obsolete cell phones, tech toys and charger cords (these I may turn in as e-waste to my local collection center).
Expired medications (need to research how to go about this safely).
Half a dozen incomplete decks of cards with different themes so I can’t even mix and match.
Underwear to toss and to donate. I have new, in packages, yet unworn … and I’ve gained weight since I bought them. (Am I the only one who does this?)
I think this might be easier for me to accomplish than a room to room or closet to closet, dresser to dresser method. I will try it and see how it works out and I will let you know.
If you have been successful in decluttering I am open to tips!
Happy Thanksgiving!
